"Otherwise Iranian President Ahmadinejad would not have dared come out with his declaration that Israel should be wiped off the map," repeating it in various versions. His efforts at denying the Holocaust in which six million Jews were slaughtered prove that there is method in Ahmadinejad's madness.

"Don't treat him like a madman," Chief of General Staff Dan Halutz recently cautioned.Eitan's assessment of the situation is especially important because of his extensive intelligence experience in Israel's struggle for its existence, even before its establishment in 1948. Eitan was among those that laid the operational foundations for the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Mossad.He is credited with numerous successes above and beyond the fact that he headed the team that apprehended Adolf Eichmann in Buenos Aires in May 1960 and brought him to justice in Jerusalem.

He served as Menachem Begin's special adviser on the war on terror. He was involved in the secret planning and implementation of the attack on the Iraqi nuclear reactor in June 1981.Eitan failed in 1985 when the United States arrested Jonathan Pollard, an American navy intelligence analyst, for spying for Israel. Eitan was forced to resign after taking responsibility for running Pollard as an Israeli agent in the United States. It emerged at that time that Eitan had stood at the head of an Israeli intelligence agency known as the Office of Scientific Relations, LAKAM by its Hebrew acronym.

EITAN, CURRENTLY a private businessman who is close to 80 years old, is not only still sharp, quick and curious, but also takes a strong interest in the dangers posed to Israel. And so he came this week to the Herzliya Conference to hear the lectures and meet with colleagues from other countries.Eitan told me: "I am convinced that the Iranians already have at least one or two nuclear devices.

They have been operating centrifuges for a number of years now, they have natural uranium, and who on earth believes the Iranians when they say that they have closed down one facility or another? You would have to be an idiot or terribly na ve to believe them."Eitan says that this view was bolstered by conversations he held with various experts from abroad who came to the Herzliya Conference - that Iran already has a an atom bomb. What should concern not only Israel but Europe too, continues Eitan, is the fact that the Iranians have acquired cruise missiles with a 3,000-kilometer range.

They tried to purchase nine missiles of this kind in Ukraine from the arsenal of the former Soviet Union, but Russia thwarted part of the deal and Iran received three or four such missiles."In an argument with colleagues from abroad," noted Rafi Eitan, "the question was whether Iran's current president is a sort of new Hitler or merely an international manipulator. Too many experts have judged him in accordance with his actions and declarations as a kind of extremist Islamist Hitler."

The American administration of George W. Bush is entirely aware of the burgeoning Iranian nuclear danger. The question is whether the leading countries in Europe will wake up in time to the danger too. "The diplomatic struggle against the Iranian nuclear danger," warns Eitan, "must be an international one and it must come in time.

The danger of nuclear weapons in the hands of Teheran is no less serious than when Saddam Hussein built the French Osirak nuclear reactor in Baghdad."What worries Rafi Eitan is that the news coming from Teheran shows that President Ahmadinejad will not hesitate to take the most extreme measures, not unlike the methods used in the Third Reich, to put down any opposition against him.

Iran has hundreds of thousands of young people who are opposed to the conceptual and cultural darkness that the fundamental Islamists are forcing on them. "Don't be surprised," Rafi Eitan told me, "if the Iranian president tries to forcibly and brutally eliminate this opposition."

U.S. and Israeli military and intelligence sources say a strike against Iran is nearly inevitable before April. The incapacitation of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has made a pre-emptive attack on Iran more likely in the next nine weeks, say Israeli sources.

It was Sharon who vetoed the nearly unanimous recommendations of Israel’s generals that a quick strike was the Jewish state’s only chance at preventing Iran from building a significant nuclear arsenal. Meanwhile, in Washington, there is growing concern that Iran’s ultimate target is the U.S. Earlier this month, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards conducted a conference on the use of weapons of mass destruction – nuclear, chemical and biological. Included in those briefings were presentations on electromagnetic pulse weapons and other military technologies deemed to be under development for use against the U.S., rather than Israel or other enemies of the Islamic republic.

Even one nuclear weapon, used in an EMP-style attack on the U.S., would prove catastrophic to the nation, a congressional panel studying the vulnerability of America to electro-magnetic pulse weapons concluded last year. Such an attack would not require Iran to use long-range or intercontinental ballistic missiles, which it does not possess. But a simple Scud missile, with a nuclear warhead, could be fired from offshore and detonated above the U.S. wreaking near total devastation on the country’s technological, electrical and transportation infrastructure.

It would also have the advantage of offering Iran a degree of plausible deniability, given that “terrorists” armed with one nuclear weapon could achieve the same results. In addition, intelligence sources say three battalions of Revolutionary Guards began exercises on the use of weapons of mass destruction near Iran’s ballistic missile testing grounds. But the reason for the planned attacks in the next nine weeks has more to do with conventional military concerns than with the unconventional weapons Iran is developing.

Russia is closing in on another arms deal with Iran that would provide Tehran with upgraded fighters that could present major problems for an Israeli air force action. Russia has already concluded a $1 billion deal to sell Iran S-300 anti-missile systems, considered among the world’s best. The preparations for the attack have been long in the planning stages by both Israel and the U.S. Early last year, the U.S. announced the sale of 500 conventional bunker-buster bombs to Israel.

There is virtually no other use for these weapons except an attack against the dozens of Iranian sites that would have to be taken out to destroy Iran’s nuclear ambitions. There has even been discussion in the Pentagon about the use of tactical nuclear weapons in such an attack. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s recent bellicose statements about destroying Israel and the U.S. have also contributed to the sense of urgency.

There’s chatter, again, in the terror world. All kinds of clues suggest al-Qaida is about to strike at the West – probably in the U.S.

Ayman al-Zawahiri: Significance to release dates of videos? Some intelligence source point to specific dates as likely targets. And then there are the patterns of previous attacks to evaluate.

Some intelligence analysts are noting the significance of the release of videos recently by both Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri. Zawahiri released his last video Jan. 6, making Feb. 5 the most likely target date, according to past attacks. But then what is the significance of Bin Laden’s video?

Some analysts suggest it might be the precursor to a mega-attack – something even rivaling Sept. 11 in scope and devastation. But there does seem to be an unmistakable pattern involved in the release of videos and al-Qaida attacks. Zawahiri, bin Laden’s right-hand man, who narrowly escaped death in the Pakistani missile attack several days ago, seems to release videos in pairs.

After the release of the second video, within 30 days a major event occurs. For instance: * release dates of Sept 9 and Nov. 9, 2004, were the first set of videos, followed by the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, bombings Dec. 6. * release dates of Feb. 20 and June 26, 2005, were followed by the July 7, 2005, London bombings.

* release dates of Aug. 4 and Sept 1, 2005, were followed by the Bali bombings Oct. 1, 2005. The next set started Oct. 23, 2005, and last week on Jan. 6, the second video followed. That, suggests some analysts, makes Feb. 5 a likely target date. Interestingly, it is also a significant date to bin Laden. Feb. 5, 1989, was the day the last Soviet troops withdrew from Kabul, Afghanistan, signaling their defeat at the hand of the mujahedeen.

Kabul was the capital of Osama's adopted country and was a major win for him and Islam. Significantly, perhaps, in bin Laden’s audio release he referenced the U.S withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan. It also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday, when the eyes of the entire world will be watching America. Unrelated to the pattern, but also mentioned by G2B sources as a date to watch is this Monday – Jan. 23. This is a date reportedly heard in terrorist “chatter” recently.

No other information is available as to its significance or potential targets.

Corpse Prime Minister

Corpse Bride -- an animated farcical horror flick in which a dead woman believes that a live man has asked for her hand in marriage, and then responds accordingly -- illustrates humorously what can happen when people get what they wish for, or perhaps what they deserve. Something similar is happening, tragicomically, in Israel.

With his two sons on their way to jail despite his concessions, and likely facing jail time himself when the truth was fully revealed, the latest evidence of his corruption caused our Prime Minister to explode in rage. Or at least his brain did. He was first reported brain dead and then placed on life support, so that, medically speaking, he is only clinically dead: serious but stable. Yet now, we are told, his limbs twitch in response to pain and his blood pressure increases when addressed by his beloved sons.

In fact, our larger than life Prime Minister has the best of both worlds. His Corpulence continues, from his hospital bed, to dominate the media and command the government even though he ceases to exist in the manner of homo sapiens, lacking human consciousness. He is dead, for all practical purposes; he just doesn't know it. One Prime Minister was assassinated by his secret service, and now another Prime Minister is probably medically assassinated or at least manslaughtered by his own doctors.

Yet our fearless brain dead leader refuses to give up the ghost. While his body is kept alive artificially, and a quarter of his skull is sawed-off and frozen for safekeeping, he is for all practical purposes dead but not buried -- for political reasons. He is Corpse Prime Minister, whose intentions -- or what are ascribed to be his intentions -- are perpetuated indefinitely and incontrovertibly by the very same folks who worked him, and then medicated him, to sort-of-death.

This pliable and very popular sort-of-dead Prime Minister is the answer to everyone's dream, especially those who pressured him to give up Gaza and northern Samaria under threat of jailing his two sons. He gave them what he thought they wanted. But it turns out they wanted more: for starters, the whole of Judea and Samaria and at least half of Jerusalem. Corpse Prime Minister, under a shroud of secrecy, is actively campaigning and has garnered the number one slot of the Kadima party although he did not sign the papers before he was unable to.

Such technicalities pose no deterrent to the mighty Corpse Prime Minister. Corpse Prime Minister has already reversed himself on the issue of Palestinian elections in Jerusalem. He now not only allows it, but will permit Hamas to campaign in Jerusalem. Corpse Prime Minister expects to close a deal with the elected Palestinian officials right after the January elections. It makes no difference if Hamas wins. You make Peace with your enemies.

By switching hats they remain enemies and continue to get ?painful concessions? as all previous agreements were dead ends. But the Corpse Prime Minister feels no pain, except from pinch tests and the sound of his sons' voices. Corpse Prime Minister had a brainstorm and now recognizes that 2,000 Iraqi shells laden with Anthrax and Sarin stored in underground facilities in the Lebanon's Beka Valley give Israel no choice but to surrender first Sheba Farms, then the rest of the Golan and perhaps part of the Galilee.

No plots are needed for a Corpse living artificially and agelessly. No land is needed in a missile age. Corpse Prime Minister has also reversed himself on further unilateral disengagements. He ordered the destruction of a neighborhood in Hebron, and neighborhoods of Ofra, Yitzhar, Bracha, Elon Moreh and Nevei Daniel. Corpse Prime Minister is dead set against Jews who want to live on land legally purchased. In his haste to escalate the disengagement from Judea, so he ordered his private police corps to smash the skulls of Jewish youth who dare demonstrate against this insanity and resist further expulsions.

After all, why should he be alone in suffering a coma? Corpse Prime Minister has gotten tough on settlers who obstruct demolition of Jewish homes, ordering the use of tear gas and pepper gas on Jewish youth. And we thought only Germans were authorized to gas Jews! Anaesthesia is in these days, even if euthanasia is out. Feeling sympathy for fellow vegetation, Corpse Prime Minister has gotten tough only on alleged tree abusers.

And to punish those who may some day potentially abuse a tree, Corpse Prime Minister ordered all the dogs removed from the Kfar Tapuach kennel. Corpse Prime Minister may finally put a stop to those whining homeless Jews he threw out of Gaza and Northern Samaria. Sure they're homeless, but at least they're not in as bad a shape as he is. Corpse Prime Minister can finally lead by example. From now on, every victim of a terror attack will be brought to the decomposing dictator and feel grateful to be alive no matter how disfigured, maimed and disabled.

And even the clinically dead and dismembered may be restored to glorious life on machines. Corpse Prime Minister has nothing to lose, so next time there is a war, it will be a fight to the death. He reportedly blood-pressured his aides the following message: "Any further negotiations will be over my dead body." To motivate his new following of young people, and new political allies, he is reportedly twitching to establish a Peace Corpse. As for the slogans being considered for his new political party, Kadima [Hebrew for "Forward"], the favorite is "Look Forward to Death."

With renewed esprit de corpse, lightweights and deadweights from every other political party are rushing in. Everybody is dying to join. Why live on as a nation when, under his leadership, we can join Corpse Prime Minister in a victory celebration? So ... Kadima! In light of the circumstances, some of his chevra have even suggested renaming his party: Kadisha. But in the spirit of Corpse Bride, perhaps let us call it:

The sudden illness of Ariel Sharon, Israel’s prime minister and top defense strategist, cast a dark shadow on many critical matters on the Israeli political agenda. The acute Iran dilemma, and Tehran’s statements indicating the Islamic Republic is planning to go ahead with its military-grade nuclear development, is by far the most serious. As more rhetoric from Iran is flooding world media, it is evident the European Union group of Britain, Germany and France, have failed in its diplomatic efforts to reason with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and have decided to refer the problem to the U.N. Security Council.

This move is supported by the U.S. administration, but not by Russia and China who both might veto an anti-Iran resolution. The consultations between Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Russia’s Vladimir Putin are obviously also on hold. The political and diplomatic activity over Iran’s nuclear plans could easily be bogged down in U.N. bureaucratic red tape. The U.N.’s endemic inefficiency, whether unintentional or deliberate, does not mean, however, the Israeli military will also put on hold its plans to solve the issue should all other efforts fail.

Last week in Tel Aviv analysts mentioned a statement made by the outgoing military Chief of Intelligence General Aharon Zeevi-Farkash, who said March 1 could be the time limit for diplomatic means to deter Iran’s plans. What Zeevi actually conveyed was an implied warning to Iran that playing around with fire after March 2006 might result in severe consequences. Sources in Tel Aviv and in several European capitals, say Zeevi’s remarks were based on a military planned timetable toward a possible D-Day to take the Iranian military nuclear plant out of the strategic threat.

Gen. Dan Halutz General Dan Halutz, Israel’s chief of staff and former air force commander, intentionally selected to be the first chief of staff to come from the air force, last week said there are several military means to deal with the problem. Although his statement was somewhat vague, especially against the background drama surrounding Sharon’s illness, those who know Halutz, and more specifically those who are acquainted with the Israeli air force, know that he is a of verbal restraint.

He would not have made this statement without being sure the Israeli military machine would be as effective against the Iranian project as it was in 1981 against the Iraqi Ossiraq nuclear site. In addition to the general’s statements, analysts, aware of the psychological warfare part of Israel’s military statements, pointed to the surprising disclosure of an exclusive Israeli air force unit called “the anti-aircraft imaging unit.” The Israel Air Force magazine re-published a story in December 2005 under the title: “Know Thy Enemy.” It deals specifically with the anti-aircraft missile threat, which could be the major obstacle in taking out the Iranian system.

The special unit’s existence was until recently classified as top secret. But not any more. Since 1996, the air force and the Rafael Weapons Development Authority have been jointly operating a unit of Soviet anti-aircraft systems similar to those in service in the Middle East.” The unit, based on thorough knowledge of Russian-made systems, is instrumental in the training of Israeli air force fighter pilots on how to survive anti-aircraft and radar threats, sometimes thousands of kilometers away from base.

The unit also operates weapon systems captured from Arab armies, undisclosed purchased equipment and secret computer developments of systems identical to anti-aircraft systems presently used by Iran, and even systems directly ordered by Iran from the Russians to protect their nuclear assets. The unit’s commanding officer described it as “the best playground where our pilots learn to deal with the real stuff.”

Among others the unit operates Russian-made SA-6, SA-8, SA-2 and SA-3, full missile systems, radar-guided ZSU-23 anti-aircraft guns and simulators, including some purchased from General Dynamics who built the a simulator for the U.S. Air Force which is trying to tackle the same problem. The officer heading the imaging unit said significant emphasis is given to Russian, Chinese and North Korean-manufactured radar systems. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the anti-aircraft imaging unit became more prominent when Eastern Bloc systems were more accessible.

“We constantly update all new threats our pilots may have to deal with and when we learn of a new threat we find ways to bring the (foreign) know-how to us.” An interesting statement dealt with the fact former Soviet or Russian anti-aircraft officers who had immigrated to Israel. Some were attached to the unit such as the former commander of a Soviet an anti-aircraft missile battery, who was also an engineer in a development team of sophisticated Russian radar.

The air force also chose to reveal details of its cooperation with the Turkish air force including the deployment of Israeli fighter jets in Turkey and Turkish squadrons in Israel as part of a joint training program. Even Greece, which for years rejected any cooperation with Israel, recently announced its air force is also fully cooperating with the Israeli air force. This cooperation with regional air forces, especially with Turkey, which borders Iran in the east, is highly significant when mentioned in uncensored air force publications.

The Israeli air force’s capability in the past to destroy the Iraqi nuclear reactor, to take out the entire Syrian anti-aircraft system in Lebanon and to successfully attack PLO headquarters in far away Tunisia, should serve as a clear message to Iran there is a vast difference between rhetoric and reality and that if push comes to shove Iran will pay dearly for her controversial nuclear ambitions.

Report: Doctor says PM's brain disease hidden for political reasons

A member of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's medical team said that the information about the brain disease diagnosed after his first stroke on December 18 had been concealed out of "political reasons," Channel 10 television reported Wednesday. The controversy surrounding Sharon's medical treatment has continued unabated, with his doctors coming under further criticism for concealing the diagnosis of cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA).Senior executives at Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem, where Sharon was first treated in December and again since last Wednesday when he had the second, far more severe stroke, admitted this week that the hospital's doctors had decided to give the pime minister blood thinners despite the diagnosis of CAA.

The physicians had promised "full disclosure of [Sharon's] condition in the wake of his hospitalization" in December. The doctor said there was the fear that if made public, the information would be used against Sharon and his Kadima party, particularly in light of the fact that CAA has often been associated in medical literature with [Alzheimer's Disease].Sharon was in critical but stable condition Thursday morning, a statement from Hadassah said. "The prime minister's condition remains critical but stable," said the statement.

"His heart rhythm is regular. In the evening he will undergo a routine CT scan." Surgeons tending to Sharon were expected to decide on when to stop the intravenous drip completely at a daily consultation scheduled for 7 A.M., medical sources said Thursday."The prime minister's treatment is constantly being reviewed, but the decision to end sedation outright requires a major deliberation," said a source.As published in Haaretz previously, senior physicians say anticoagulants such as the Clexane given to Sharon significantly increase the risk of stroke in people with CAA.Sharon's physicians, Prof. Boleslav Goldman and Dr. Shlomo Segev, as well as Hadassah officials, did not comment Wednesday.

The condition of Sharon, who has been hospitalized since last Wednesday night with his second stroke in less than a month, did not change significantly Wednesday. Sharon is still in serious but stable condition and his life is still in danger.Doctors at Hadassah University Hospital were lowering Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's sedation to a "minimal" level Wednesday night, in a further effort to awaken him gradually from the coma in which he has lain since his massive stroke and brain hemorrhage seven days ago.

The hospital has been gradually reducing Sharon's sedation since Monday. According to officials from Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem, "An additional slight improvement" in his condition was recorded. A hospital official told Haaretz on Wednesday that once again, Sharon's movements in response to pain stimuli were "greater." Also, Sharon's blood pressure was found to rise when his son spoke to him, one of his attending physicians, Dr. Felix Umanski, said late on Wednesday.Dr. Yair Birenbaum, a senior Hadassah official, told Razi Barkai of Army Radio Wednesday that the decision by Hadassah physicians to give Sharon anticlotting drugs despite the vascular disease was not, "in my humble opinion, an error in judgment.

The consultation about the prime minister was attended by a range of doctors with various specialties," and that Sharon's vascular disease was "one more variable that had to be calculated within a range of variables."Dr. Birenbaum also noted that the physicians at Hadassah considered the variety of blood-thinning drugs available and "considered various options and decided what was decided by a general consensus of the caregivers."In response to the call, which appeared in Haaretz Wednesday, by a doctor who is a department head at a major Israeli hospital, for a state commission of inquiry into Sharon's treatment, Birenbaum said there is no need for that.

However, he added that "there is plenty of time for examination committees and snoopers" and promised that if an investigative body is established "everything will be laid out" before it.A senior neurologist at a government hospital in the center of the country told Haaretz Wednesday that "it is known the treatments in modern medicine are always involved in an attempt to find a balance between risks and rewards, but in this case it is really impossible to understand the doctors' decision regarding the use of blood thinners.

"According to the medical literature, after the first stroke it seems as if the need to use anticoagulants was not very great, after the small hole in the heart was discovered. Therefore, the question becomes even more pressing."

WASHINGTON – When U.S. News broke a story the day before Christmas about radiation detection efforts taking place in the capital of the United States, most of the attention such a startling development might have received was diverted by the timing and the emphasis on whether such monitoring might in some way violate civil rights. But the real story is that a massive government operation is under way to find terrorist nuclear weapons within North America in an effort to thwart a decade-long plot by al-Qaida to kill millions of Americans – the so-called “American Hiroshima” plan.

G2B first reported on al-Qaida's plans to detonate nuclear devices in seven to nine major U.S. cities simultaneously. The most interesting development is that the U.S. government has been monitoring radiation levels at more than 100 mosques, homes, businesses and other sites in and around the nation's capital and at least five other cities since Sept. 11, 2001, providing further evidence law enforcement officials suspect terrorists have secreted nuclear or radiological weapons inside the country.

The nuclear surveillance program began in early 2002 and has been run by the FBI and the Department of Energy's Nuclear Emergency Support Team, or NEST, according to the report. The other cities monitored include Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, New York, and Seattle. As G2B reported, former FBI consultant Paul L. Williams has described how al-Qaida has already purchased some post-Soviet mini-nukes and hired Russians to help them operate them. Al-Qaida's prime targets for launching nuclear terrorist attacks are the nine U.S. cities with the highest Jewish populations, according to captured leaders and documents.

As reported in G2B, Osama bin Laden is planning what he calls an "American Hiroshima," the ultimate terrorist attack on U.S. cities, using nuclear weapons already smuggled into the country across the Mexican border along with thousands of sleeper agents. The series of attacks is designed to kill 4 million, destroy the economy and fundamentally alter the course of history. At least two fully assembled and operational nuclear weapons are believed to be hidden in the United States already, according to G2B intelligence sources and "The al-Qaida Connection:

International Terrorism, Organized Crime and the Coming Apocalypse," a book by Williams. The captured terrorists and documents also suggest smaller attacks may take place on American soil before the nuclear incidents. They may include some involving automatic weapons at schools and shopping malls, but will not include any airplane hijackings.

Why? Because bin Laden does not want any failed efforts to overshadow "the success of Sept. 11." There will also not be any attacks on U.S. nuclear power plants. The rationale? The nuclear power plants can act as force multipliers when the weapons of mass destruction are detonated. Another requirement dictated from the top at al-Qaida is that the attacks take place in daylight, so that the whole world will be able to see the images of a mushroom cloud over an American city. One of the sources for the information is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the chief planner of the Sept. 11 attacks, who is now in U.S. custody.

As previously reported by G2B, al-Qaida has obtained at least 40 nuclear weapons from the former Soviet Union – including suitcase nukes, nuclear mines, artillery shells and even some missile warheads. In addition, documents captured in Afghanistan show al-Qaida had plans to assemble its own nuclear weapons with fissile material it purchased on the black market. The plans for the devastating nuclear attack on the U.S. have been under development for more than a decade. It is designed as a final deadly blow to the U.S., which is seen by al-Qaida and its allies as "the Great Satan." At least half the nuclear weapons in the al-Qaida arsenal were obtained for cash from the Chechen terrorist allies.

But when the latest disclosures about nuclear radiation detection efforts under way in Washington to thwart an “American Hiroshima” plot were disclosed, it was the U.S. government’s defensive measures that got most of the scrutiny. Warning that constitutional rights were under threat, the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned the monitoring of mosques in the nation’s capital without court approval as illegal and discriminatory. "All Americans should be concerned about the apparent trend toward a two-tiered system of justice, with full rights for most citizens, and another diminished set of rights for Muslims," the council said in a statement.

Somehow, radiation monitoring to prevent a nuclear disaster in the nation’s capital was being equated with eavesdropping and monitoring of communications.

But radiation detection efforts are spreading throughout the U.S. and Canada. The New York City health department announced just after Christmas it plans to spend nearly $1.4 million equipping hospitals with radiation detection devices that might become essential if terrorists detonated a "dirty bomb." The equipment, largely paid for with federal grants, could help medical centers diagnose the thousands of people who likely would flood hospitals after such a blast, the department said. "In the event of an incident in New York City involving radioactive contamination, hospitals will be on the front lines of receiving potentially contaminated persons with and without injuries," the department said in a statement.

The devices would go to public and private hospitals, whose staff members would be trained how to recognize and treat radiation injuries, and how to protect and decontaminate themselves while dealing with patients who may have been exposed. The program, to be implemented in the coming months, is part of a nationwide effort to prepare for possible attacks with nuclear material. Unlike nuclear weapons, which create huge fireballs fed by nuclear chain reactions, dirty bombs would use conventional explosives to scatter radioactive material. That type of blast would not be particularly powerful and would be unlikely to cause many deaths, experts say, but the fear of contamination could spark panic.

Land and buildings hit with radioactive particles might be unusable for years. Tens of thousands of people likely would besiege hospitals, wondering whether they had been contaminated by radiological material. Earlier this year, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases issued more than $47 million for grants and contracts aimed at making it easier to diagnose and quickly treat dirty-bomb attack victims. As part of that program, Columbia University is leading a consortium of researchers developing new technologies that would allow doctors to rapidly screen large numbers of people for radiation exposure.

Those who tested positive could then get quicker treatment. Meanwhile, some officials are suggesting that not enough Homeland Security grants are being used for this front-line of defense. While the U.S. government has launched an investigation into a New York port-security program under fire for awarding grants to dinner-cruise lines and small ferryboats, a state official who heads New York’s homeland security effort said he wants to see more resources go to radiation detection. "If you're going to take money and give it to cruise lines, then you're not going to be investing in these kinds of technologies, and they need to be," said state Sen. Michael Balboni.

At the same time, a report issued by House Homeland Security Democrats concluded that only two of the nation's seaports currently have the ability to screen all incoming cargo for nuclear material. Every port could begin nuclear screening for $280 million, but the administration hasn't requested the money and Congress hasn't provided it, they said. Also last month, Canadian officials announced they have installed the nation’s first radiation detector at the port of Saint John in New Brunswick in a bid to protect the country against nuclear terrorism.

All major Canadian ports will soon be equipped with the anti-terrorism technology. The radiation detection program is a key part of Ottawa's $172 million plan to beef up marine security -- all stemming from the terrorist attacks in the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. The devices, which have been in use for two weeks in Saint John, detect radiation inside containers. The detector is located on two large concrete columns. The containers are driven through the scanning portal after they have been loaded on trucks.

Earlier last month, the U.S. State Department acknowledged that efforts to stop nuclear terrorism through international non-proliferation policies had failed and that the time is right for greater emphasis on defensive measures such as radiation monitoring. Under Secretary of State Robert Joseph said the spread of weapons of mass destruction by rogue states and terrorists is widely recognized as the greatest security threat facing the nation.

“We have placed new emphasis on protection from, and response to, the use of these weapons against us or our friends and allies. We are building the counter-proliferation capabilities -- from missile defense to detection of chemical and biological agents in the field -- to deter, defend against, and defeat weapons of mass destruction in the hands of our enemies,” he said. “And we are acquiring the ability to contain and reduce the potentially horrific effects if these weapons are used against us, in terms of casualties and other costs, such as from biological attacks against our population centers.”

But critics say the U.S. still needs to tighten port security, particularly scrutiny of containers, which "can be filled overseas at many different locations and are transported through complex logistical networks," as the Government Accountability Office recently reported. The GAO, the investigative arm of Congress, warned that a terrorist still could use fake documents or a bogus company to hide an explosive device in a container. U.S. Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Patty Murray, D-Wash., recently called for searching a greater percentage of containers.

Collins said some of the post-9/11 improvements in port security "appear to be hollow." Container ships have been detained off New Jersey and Los Angeles after Coast Guard boarding teams detected radioactive cargo. The New Jersey vessel, whose searchers included Navy Seals, turned out to be carrying faintly radioactive clay tiles in a container below deck. The hot reading on the Los Angeles ship came from a small gauge used to test the vessel's firefighting system. Off New York in the summer of 2004, a ship carrying tons of fresh lemons was detained for a week on the basis of a tip that the lemons were biologically contaminated.

The lemons turned out to be fine, but they rotted at sea. In 2002, ABC News penetrated the port security system in Los Angeles by successfully smuggling 15 pounds of depleted uranium into the U.S. in a container, inside a lead box. The container was targeted for closer examination, but the examiners did not find the uranium and sent the container along. Federal officials say their detection system has improved since then, but critics say it is still ineffective at finding enriched uranium, which could be used to build a nuclear device.

While the U.S. is still behind in efforts to install radiation detection equipment at domestic ports, the government is active in assisting other countries with their efforts to thwart nuclear terrorist attacks. Last month, the U.S. and Israel signed an agreement to begin a joint effort to help detect the smuggling of radioactive materials. The agreement is the latest part of the U.S. National Nuclear Security Agency's Megaports Initiative which installs radiation detection equipment and trains law enforcement officials at seaports throughout the world.

It is part of the U.S.' broader Second Line of Defense Program which works with foreign partners to equip border crossings airports and seaports with the equipment.

Protect our electronics against EMP attack

The saturation of society with modern electronics, while certainly a good thing overall, gives us an Achilles' heel. The more dependent we become on such electronics, the more vulnerable we are to societal chaos if a substantial portion of them fail simultaneously. It is said that an electromagnetic pulse, or EMP, could cause such a failure.

An EMP is generated by a nuclear explosion, or by a smaller-scale "e-bomb." If a terrorist or rogue nation detonated a nuclear bomb a few hundred miles above the United States, the resulting shock wave could damage or disrupt electronic components throughout the country. The consequences could be catastrophic. Our life-sustaining critical infrastructure such as communications networks, energy networks, and food and water distribution networks could all break down.

An EMP was a prominent concern during the cold war with the Soviet Union. That concern is rearing its head again, now that it appears we are headed toward cold wars with Iran, North Korea, and other third-world regimes bent on acquiring nuclear weapons. The possibility of terrorist groups getting a hold of nuclear missiles adds to the danger.
Some of the literature on EMPs gives the impression that such an event would fry every computer in the country, that planes would fall out of the sky, and that society would be thrust back into 19th-century technological backwardness. Such claims may be far-fetched, but EMPs are nevertheless a deadly serious issue.

Fortunately, protecting electronics and critical infrastructure against an EMP is doable. It involves enclosing every electronic component with a metallic cage that blocks out electromagnetic waves.

Sound impossible? Actually, electronic components already enjoy some form of shielding against electromagnetic interference. Federal Communications Commission standards require it. Such shielding is designed to prevent everyday electromagnetic radiation from entering and/or exiting the device. Your computer contains this shielding, from metal housings down to the little metal coverings soldered to your motherboard. There even are housings the size of rooms or buildings that protect sensitive equipment inside. Without electromagnetic shielding, many electronic devices would not work properly.

However, most existing shielding may not be enough to protect against an EMP. While U.S. military standards often require electronic components to be protected against an EMP, commercial standards do not. And while our power grid is shielded against things such as lightning strikes, it is not tested for protection against an EMP.
Upgrading to shield against an EMP would entail using more robust shielding materials, especially for the cords, cables, and/or wires that connect devices to external entities such as power supplies or networks.

Cables and wires act as antennas through which an EMP travels directly into a device.

To what extent would an EMP destroy electronics in their current configurations? Certainly not 100%. Not all electronics are connected to cables or wires. And many of those that are connected may only temporarily be disrupted or not be disrupted at all, thanks to the existing shielding against electromagnetic interference. But an EMP that is powerful enough or close enough could ruin many electronic devices such as computers.

Unlike what was depicted in the 1983 movie The Day After, automobiles may keep functioning after an EMP attack. The electronics within automobiles enjoy robust shielding because of the harsh electromagnetic environment on existing roadways. Aircraft have even stronger electromagnetic shielding, so they are unlikely to fall out of the sky. "Some of the [aircraft's] equipment may not work, but the propulsion and control system usually is pretty robust," said Dr. William A. Radasky, president of Metatech Corp, a consulting firm specializing in electromagnetic environment analysis.

Radasky, one of the world's few experts on protecting electronics against an EMP, thinks that most electronics would undergo only a temporary disruption in the event of an EMP. "You may just have to restart the computer and everything would be fine," said Radasky. But a temporary shutdown of a control system for a critical infrastructure system, he said, would be "troublesome." And if just 1% of all electronics failed, havoc could ensue. "Just think about the power outage in August of '03 when a couple of wires hit a tree," observed Radasky. "That was a single failure, propagated over a huge area.
Now imagine, at the speed of light every place in the United States, some portion of electronics failing. Now you have a very widespread problem."

The only way to know the extent to which an EMP would knock out electronics is to conduct testing with EMP simulators.
Unfortunately, since the end of the cold war, most EMP simulators in the United States have been closed, according to Radasky. And the few that remain open are for military use, not civilian use.

The Department of Homeland Security should set up civilian EMP simulators, and encourage — or require — those in charge of our critical infrastructure to upgrade their facilities and conduct tests to assess EMP vulnerability.

It would be wise to follow Switzerland's lead. According to Radasky, that country during the cold war hardened some of its critical infrastructure against EMPs, such as water works. "They felt that if there was high-altitude burst over Europe, they were going to be affected whether they were a combatant or not."

It is a thorny question as to whether the FCC should revise its standards to require electronics manufacturers to build in EMP protection. This could be prohibitively expensive for the manufacture of individual components. But businesses and government agencies should install EMP protection at the system level. (This also would provide protection against other electromagnetic disturbances such as lightning.)

One positive development is the increasing use of fiber optic cables. Most of them do not contain metal, so they are invulnerable to EMP, according to Radasky. The more common they become, the less exposed systems are to an EMP.

But the Achilles' heel remains. Our dependence on electronics intensifies as a new era of nuclear cold war draws closer. It behooves us to protect our electronics against an EMP.

JERUSALEM – Iran will reach the point of no return and possess the capacity to build nuclear weapons within three months, Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff Dan Halutz warned today.
The ominous prediction comes just days after the London Sunday Times quoted Israeli officials who said Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has instructed the IDF to prepare a military strike against Iran by the end of March.

Addressing the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee today, Halutz cautioned that after a three-month period, Iran may have a nuclear infrastructure in place. Still, he explained, Tehran would have to obtain enough nuclear materials to build weapons.

"This fact does not represent a threat to Israel just yet, because Iran will have to overcome a few obstacles before it can put the weapons to use," Halutz said.

The IDF estimate was similar to the timetable offered earlier this month by Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog.

"I know they are trying to acquire the full fuel cycle. I know that acquiring the full fuel cycle means that a country is months away from nuclear weapons, and that applies to Iran and everybody else," ElBaradei said in an interview with the British newspaper The Independent.

Also today, the website of state-run television published remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad again casting doubt on whether the Holocaust actually occurred while calling on Muslim nations to take an active role in the Palestinian issue.

Ahmadinejad reportedly was speaking at an Iranian Islamic conference alongside Khaled Meshal, the overall leader of Hamas.
"If the killing of Jews in Europe is true and the Zionists are being supported because of this excuse, why should the Palestinian nation pay the price?" the website quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

"The Islamic world should give up its policy of passivity and deal with the Palestinian issue more actively," he said.

Ahmadinejad last week provoked fiery responses from the United States, much of Europe, Russia and some of the Arab world when he told reporters at a Saudi Arabian conference intended to show the moderate side of Islam that Israel should be relocated to Europe if the West wanted to make up for the Holocaust.

And in November, Ahmadinejad threatened to "wipe Israel off the map."

Regarding Sharon's instructions the IDF prepare to strike Iran, the Times quoted unnamed defense officials who said Israel would use air and ground forces against several nuclear targets in a bid to push back Iran's nuclear program by several years.

The British newspaper said Sharon's orders were relayed to the army after intelligence officials warned Iran already has activated uranium enrichment facilities hidden at civilian locations.

According to the report, which high-ranking security officials denied to WND, the level of preparedness of the Israeli Air Force has been moved up to the highest level in fear of Iranian retaliation or a pre-emptive strike.

If Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda — or the dictators of North Korea or Iran — had the ability to destroy America as a superpower, would they be tempted to try?

Wouldn't that temptation be even greater if that result could be achieved with a single attack, involving just one nuclear weapon, perhaps even one of modest power and relatively unsophisticated design?

And, what if the attacker could be reasonably sure that the United States would not know who was responsible for such a devastating blow?

Unfortunately, that scenario is not far fetched. It is the conclusion of a report issued in 2004 by a blue ribbon commission created by Congress. The commission found that a single nuclear weapon, delivered by a ballistic missile to an altitude of a few hundred miles over the United States, would be "capable of causing catastrophe for the nation."

How is that possible? By precipitating a lethal electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack.

In 2000, concerned about EMP technology, Congress created the "Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse Attack" (the EMP Threat Commission, for short). In its final report, presented in summer 2004, the panel warned that terrorists could indeed execute such an attack by launching a small nuclear armed missile from a freighter off the coast of the United States.

The ingredients for an EMP attack may be already within reach.
Al-Qaeda is known to have a fleet of freighters.
One of those freighters could easily be outfitted with a short- range ballistic missile capable of getting a nuclear weapon to almost any point in the airspace above our country.

Thousands of Scud missiles exist around the world, and they are said to cost less than $100,000 to purchase from willing suppliers like North Korea. (In December 2002, a North Korean ship was intercepted, temporarily, as it prepared to deliver twelve Scud missiles to Yemen.)
North Korea has also declared its willingness to sell nuclear weapons to terrorists.

Iran has demonstrated it has the capability to launch a Scud missile from a vessel at sea.
Ship-launched ballistic missiles have a special advantage. The "return address" of the attacker may be difficult to determine, especially if the missile is a generic Scud type weapon, found in many countries' arsenals.

But even though all the tools needed for this nightmare scenario could be in the hands of terrorists already, and even though a high altitude EMP attack could be considered the ultimate "weapon of mass destruction," little has changed in our level of preparedness or even our policy debates. EMP is still rarely mentioned in discussions of the WMDs we need to worry about.

We need to start worrying.
An Atmospheric Tsunami
A nuclear weapon produces several different effects. The best known are the intense heat and hyperpressures associated with the fireball and the accompanying blast.

But a nuclear explosion also generates massive outputs of other kinds of energy. These include the creation of intense streams of x-rays and gamma-rays. If those are unleashed outside the earth's atmosphere, some of them will interact with the air molecules of the upper atmosphere.

The result is an enormous pulsed current of high energy electrons that will interact, in turn, with the earth's magnetic field.
In an instant, an invisible radio frequency wave is produced — a wave of almost unimaginably immense intensity, approximately a million times as strong as the most powerful radio signals on the earth. The energy of this pulse would reach everything in line of sight of the detonation. And it would do so at the speed of light.

The higher the altitude of the weapon's detonation, the larger the affected area would be. At a height of three hundred miles, for example, the entire continental United States would be exposed, along with parts of Canada and Mexico.

As the fireball expands in space, it would also generate electrical currents on earth — ultra high-speed electromagnetic "shock waves" that would endanger much of our technological infrastructure. Such high speed currents would disable, temporarily or permanently,
extended electrical conductors, such as the electricity transmission lines that make up our power grid.

all the systems that depend on electricity and electronics, from medical instruments to military communications.
As the EMP Threat Commission put it:

The electromagnetic fields produced by weapons designed and deployed with the intent to produce EMP have a high likelihood of damaging electrical power systems, electronics, and information systems upon which American society depends. Their effects on dependent systems and infrastructures could be sufficient to qualify as catastrophic to the nation. [Emphasis added.]

The systems at risk from EMP include:

electronic control, sensor, and protective systems of all kinds
computers and cell phones
cars, boats, airplanes, and trains
the infrastructures for handling electric power, telecommunications, transportation, fuel and energy, banking and finance, emergency services, and even food and water.

A One Two Three Punch
Following rapidly on this electromagnetic tsunami, there would be a "medium speed component" of EMP. It would cover roughly the same geographic area as the first, "high- speed" component, though its peak power level would be much less.

This medium-speed component follows the high speed component by merely a fraction of a second. It further damages the electric systems that are already impaired and exposed by the initial electromagnetic impact.

And finally, there is a third wave of EMP attack, the "slow component" produced by the continuing expansion of the fireball in the earth's magnetic field. This slow component — a pulse that may last just seconds or minutes — creates disruptive currents in electricity transmission lines, damaging the surviving electrical supply and distribution systems.

Unpredicted Test Effects
The destructive power of EMP effects was first glimpsed in the atmospheric nuclear tests of the Cold War era. The United States and the Soviet Union independently discovered the same phenomenon: a high-altitude nuclear explosion could damage or destroy electronic systems on the earth, with potentially devastating consequences for the targeted society.

In 1962, the United States conducted a test called "Starfish," detonating a nuclear weapon about 250 miles above Johnston Island in the Pacific Ocean. The resulting EMP reached all the way to the Hawaiian Islands, a little over 700 miles away. There, on the far edge of the EMP field, the explosion extinguished streetlights in Honolulu, tripped circuit breakers, triggered burglar alarms, and damaged a telecommunications relay facility.

The Soviet tests included a series of high altitude nuclear detonations over South Central Asia. EMP from these tests damaged overhead (and even underground) electrical cables at a range of 375 miles, causing surge arrestor burnout, blown fuses, and blackouts.

The consequences of an EMP attack would of course be far more significant today, with so much of our infrastructure (civilian as well as military) dependent on electricity and electronics. The EMP Threat Commission estimated that it could take "months to years" to fully restore critical infrastructures after an EMP attack:

Depending on the specific characteristics of the attacks, unprecedented cascading failures of our major infrastructures could result. In that event, a regional or national recovery would be long and difficult and would seriously degrade the safety and overall viability of our nation. The primary avenues for catastrophic damage to the nation are through our electric power infrastructure and thence into our telecommunications, energy, and other infrastructures.

These, in turn, can seriously impact other important aspects of our nation's life, including the financial system; means of getting food, water, and medical care to the citizenry; trade; and production of goods and services.

The recovery of any one of the key national infrastructures is dependent on the recovery of others. The longer the outage, the more problematic and uncertain the recovery will be. It is possible for the functional outages to become mutually reinforcing until at some point the degradation of infrastructure could have irreversible effects on the country's ability to support its population. [Emphasis added.]

What Is Being Done to Address the Danger?

An EMP attack potentially represents a high tech means for terrorists to kill millions of Americans the old fashioned way, through starvation and disease. Although the direct physical effects of EMP are harmless to people, a well designed and well-executed EMP attack could kill — indirectly — far more Americans than a nuclear weapon detonated in our most populous city.

Dr. Lowell Wood of Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, a member of the EMP Threat Commission, has warned in testimony before Congress that an EMP attack could reduce the United States to a pre-Industrial Age capacity, in terms of its ability to provide vital food and water to its population.

In 1900, prior to widespread electrification of the United States, our country's population was less than one-third of its size today. An attack that destroyed our technological infrastructure would certainly decimate the population.

But if EMP is such a big threat, why have we not heard more about it? Why do we not hear discussions of how to reduce its potential impact on this country? In fact, the EMP Threat Commission was the outcome of four years of hearings and briefings, as a frustrated Congress tried to alert the executive branch to the danger of EMP attack.
Their efforts seemed futile. In 1997, Gen. Robert Marsh (then-chairman of the Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection) told the House Armed Services Committee:

[W]e consider a terrorist acquiring a nuclear weapon, and positioning it at the high altitude necessary for generation of an EMP burst that would debilitate our infrastructures, to be a very remote possibility. . . . Such an event is so unlikely and difficult to achieve that I do not believe it warrants serious concern at this time. [Emphasis added.]

In contrast, the testimony Congress received from other sources strongly suggested that such a devastating attack was neither unlikely nor difficult to achieve. It seemed that there was, in fact, reason to be concerned that terrorists and rogue states might present an EMP threat to the United States.

Concerned members of congress received help from an unlikely quarter in May 1999, when Russia explicitly invoked the specter of an EMP attack on the United States.
Vladimir Lukin (the chairman of the Duma International Affairs Committee) assured a delegation of American legislators that Russia was not helpless in the face of U.S. led interventions:

Hypothetically, if Russia really wanted to hurt the United States in retaliation for NATO's bombing of Yugoslavia, Russia could fire a submarine launched ballistic missile and detonate a single nuclear warhead at high altitude over the United States. The resulting electromagnetic pulse would massively disrupt U.S. communications and computer systems, shutting down everything.

This blunt statement succeeded in getting the attention of both parties in Congress. A second opinion was clearly needed. And on October 30, 2000, the EMP Threat Commission was established by law.

The EMP Threat Today
The EMP Threat Commission conducted a worldwide survey of foreign scientific and military literature to assess the knowledge and intentions of foreign states regarding an EMP attack. The survey confirmed that both the physics and the military potential of EMP are indeed widely understood in the international community.

The commission survey found that the following nations were knowledgeable about EMP: China, Cuba, Egypt, India, Iran, Saddam Hussein's Iraq, North Korea, Pakistan, and Russia.
The commission also learned that some foreign military experts regard EMP attack as a form of electronic or information warfare, not primarily as a form of nuclear war. One of China's leading military theorists has written:

Information war and traditional war have one thing in common, namely that the country which possesses the critical weapons such as atomic bombs will have "first strike" and "second strike retaliation" capabilities . . . .

As soon as its computer networks come under attack and are destroyed, the country will slip into a state of paralysis and the lives of its people will grind to a halt. (Su Tzu Yun, World War: The Third World War — Total Information Warfare, 2001.)

In Iran — the most unabashed state sponsor of international terrorism today — some theorists have argued that the key to defeating the United States lies in attacking its electronics. This is from an Iranian political military policy journal:

Once you confuse the enemy communication network, you can also disrupt the work of the enemy command and decision making center.

Last week, JTF discussed the recent Muslim riots in France and how the left-wing, Muslim-loving media - the anti-Western, anti-white, anti-Christian and anti-Jewish media - "reported" or rather failed to report on their extent and savagery. (We have included our November 23, 2005 article, What The Media Isn't Telling You About The French Muslim Riots (Part 1), in our HOW WE CAN SAVE AMERICA section below.) This week, we will look at "underlying causes," both as the media sees them, and then as they really are.

Just as the blacks in America, and the Arabs in Israel, have their apologists, so do the Muslims in Europe - British Communists marched side by side with Muslim terrorist sympathizers at a March 2005 demonstration in support of "victory to the Iraqi resistance"
As it did in the wake of the Hurricane Katrina riots, as it always does following the incessant outrages by blacks, Muslims and assorted Third World gangrene in the United States and abroad, the media was predictably quick to put an anti-Western spin on the violence.

Every effort was made to whitewash the violence and terror, by claiming that the Islamic murderers and looters and rioters were somehow justified in their actions, and that their crimes were in fact perpetrated by everybody but the criminals themselves.
It is hardly necessary to go through the whole litany of apologies. We have heard it all before, over and over again, ad nauseam. The rioters are not criminals. They are "disaffected" residents of "impoverished" areas, "rebelling" against a "racist" system which ensures that, through no fault of their own, they will never improve themselves.

If only given the proper "opportunity," we are told - if only more billions and trillions were spent on their housing and education and medicine - they would settle down and become willing and productive members of our First World society, eager to work together with us to build a better world.

What do they have in their own homelands? - Slavery is rampant in today's black Africa, just as it is throughout the Muslim world. (A Gabonese child slave girl sells ice water in the ironically named Libreville ("Freetown"), the capital of Gabon.)

Over the past few weeks, we have heard many complaints from the left-wing media and cowardly, self-hating whites of Muslim unemployment, and of the supposedly miserable life of Muslims in wretched, poverty-stricken neighborhoods.

But we have not heard much about how the unemployment rate in France among all Frenchmen stands at a whopping 10%. Nor have we heard that the neighborhoods in which the Muslims have been rioting are often 50% Christian.

French Christians, living in the same neighborhoods as the Muslim rioters, face exactly the same conditions of poverty and unemployment but remain law-abiding and productive members of Western society
The Christians - need we bother to add? - have not been rioting, no more than there were riots among whites in America during the Depression or among Jews during the hard times which preceded the foundation of Israel. Only Muslims, blacks and Arabs are possessed of the savagery required to destroy their own communities, and those of their neighbors, when things fail to go their way.

And only they are given excuses for doing so by a media which viciously condemns as "right-wing extremism" and "religious fanaticism" mild demonstrations of Western outrage like those of the Minutemen in America and Israel's right-wing Jewish dissidents.

In fact, the Muslims in France and the rest of Europe, like the blacks in America and the Arabs in Israel, have never had it so good. France's Muslims have been made citizens by left-wing French governments eager for their votes, so eager that France discriminates not against its Muslims but against its Christians, just as whites are discriminated against in favor of blacks in the United States, and just as Jews are discriminated against in favor of Arabs in Israel.

Like the blacks in America and the Arabs in Israel, the Muslims in Europe are constantly screaming "discrimination" - Born in Algeria, Yazid Sabeg, the only Arab head of a large French corporation, complains of anti-Arab, anti-Muslim discrimination. "People don't like my face," he says. "In some circles, the Algerian war still continues." The head of CS, which works in the sensitive military communications and aerospace industry, Sabeg was investigated for years in the early 1990s after the French intelligence service reported that he was aligned with Algerian terrorists.

Like America and Israel, France has spent fortunes trying to employ the Muslims, to educate their inbred and retarded children, and to clean up the filthy hovels which they have spread over the French landscape. (Parts of Paris, once one of the most beautiful cities, if not the most beautiful city, in the world, have been turned into garbage-strewn, urine-stained imitations of America's most infamous rat hole, the South Bronx.) Billions have been spent on free daycare, free housing, free education, free medicine, and cushy, make-work federal jobs which are practically sinecures, patronage jobs from which the employees cannot be fired.

The arrogance of the French Muslims almost surpasses their ignorance and violence. It is not, after all, as if they can claim that life was better for them in their nasty Muslim homelands, racked by war, oppression, injustice, disease, poverty, the rape and genital mutilation of women and girls, mass murder, and every other ill which violence and laziness and stupidity and mistrust and envy breed in Third World societies. (At the present time, November 2005, thereare a dozen savage wars raging in the Arab world, none covered in the news.)

America does not need leaders like George Wahabi Bush capitulating to Arab Muslim terrorism - In May 2004, Bush went on the Arab Muslim terrorist television network Al Jazeera to apologize for the American "mistreatment" of Iraqi prisoners. (Bush's capitulation was witnessed all over the Muslim terrorist world, including in the Israeli city of Hebron, where 500 heroic Jewish pioneers - including valiant JTF ally Noam Federman and Chayil party leader Baruch Marzel - "hold the fort" against 80,000 murderous Arab interlopers.)

Why else would there be - as there presently are - 300 million Muslims poised eagerly on the southern borders of Europe, its new "soft underbelly," eagerly awaiting the chance to come swarming in? Why else, for that matter, would most of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims salivate at the thought of escape from their own nasty lands of Islam?
The savage Muslim riots which have racked France for the past few weeks are - or should have been - an object lesson for every non-Muslim "infidel," in America and Israel, in Europe and in every other civilized nation of the globe.

After decades of coddling Muslims, after decades of inviting them into France and appeasing them with socialist welfare handouts comparable to the "affirmative action" giveaways of America, the undeserving Muslims of France have expressed their gratitude for French largesse by unequivocally demonstrating that they will stop at nothing to suck an "infidel" nation dry.

Former German Chancellor Gerhardt Schroeder told the world in December 2000 that Germany needs more Muslim immigrants - In the months leading up to the Muslim terrorist butchery of September 11th, the German city of Hamburg was home to Egyptian Muslim terrorist Mohammed Atta and his fellow 911 conspirators

Today, Europe is clearly being led down the garden path to destruction by leaders like Jacques "Iraq" Chirac, who once armed Saddam Hussein with a nuclear reactor, and who recently boasted that France's recklessly lax immigration policies would keep France free of Islamic terrorism; and former German Chancellor Gerhardt Schroeder, who complained in the months before September 11th that Germany does not have enough Muslim "workers."

By the same token, we do not need an Ariel Sharon in Israel, making increasingly "painful concessions" to Arab Muslim terrorists. We do not need a George Wahabi Bush ordering the State Department to encourage even more Muslim parasites to come to the United States.

Instead, we need leaders willing to face the problem of Islam realistically, and willing to take the steps needed to deal with its violent and growing threat to world peace and stability.
There is no way to save America from moral and spiritual destruction - which will lead to physical destruction - unless right-wing righteous Gentiles are prepared to lead a massive civil disobedience revolt against the traitors destroying this once great nation.

If we are willing to mobilize now, it is not too late to save America. For the sake of America, Israeland the West, we hope and pray that we can motivate G-d-fearing American patriots to act.

What The Media Isn't Telling You About The French Muslim Riots
(Part 1)

They're everywhere - Muslims rioted in hundreds of French cities and towns (only the largest ones are indicated on the map), setting fire to thousands of buildings, homes and cars.

In this two-part series about the savage Muslim riots which have lately racked French society, JTF will point out a few facts about the riots themselves, and about their profoundly important implications for the future of Western civilization, which have somehow escaped the attention of the left-wing, Muslim-loving media.

First, let us examine the riots themselves, on the one hand as widely covered in the media, and on the other hand as they actually took place.

As a preface, note that the riots were the worst disturbances in France since World War II. At their height, over 300 cities and towns were attacked nightly by hordes of black and North African Muslims armed with gasoline bombs, blazing cars (used as attack vehicles) and - as we shall see - guns.

Tens of thousands of cars, trucks and buses were torched; hundreds of buildings burned to the ground; and at least one victim was beaten to death by a Muslim mob after he tried to put out a fire in a trash can. Dozens of French police and firefighters have been injured, and in one incident, two French policemen were seriously hurt by shotgun fire which also slightly wounded eight of their comrades.

The epidemic spread across France, from the north - where it threatened to spill over into Belgium and Germany - to the south, to the Riviera. It was only after weeks of rioting that "only" 80 cities and towns were attacked by mobs in a single night, and the French authorities could breathe a sigh of relief and report that the level of violence in its restive Muslim fifth column had "returned to normal."

The riots were supposed to have been started when a pair of black Muslim youths, chased into a power station by French police, were electrocuted. ("They died for nothing," the rioters screamed, on hearing the news.) The left-wing, Muslim-loving media has repeated this story almost unquestioningly, hardly ever adding that the two youths had prior criminal records, and hardly ever bothering to mention that the French police have repeatedly and vigorously denied chasing the youths - that the "victims" were actually two young Islamic criminals who broke into the station of their own volition, quite likely intent on theft or vandalism.

In a November 7, 2005 "report" - not an editorial, but an actual news article - the Guardian, a left-wing, Muslim-loving, America-hating, Israel-hating British rag, "reported" on the French riots - The French police have vigorously and repeatedly denied that the young black Muslim criminals - who had prior criminal records - were chased into the power station

In the interest of fair play and fair reporting, the statements of the French police should be given at least as much weight as those of the rioters, who are Muslims and who will therefore lie about everything, especially when dealing with the non-Muslim "infidel," lying to him being a sacred obligation explicitly imposed upon all Muslims in their religious writings, the bloodthirsty bible of Islamic terror - the Muslim terrorist Koran - and its companion work, the Muslim terrorist Hadith.

As in the stories of "Koran desecration" which were lately repeated in Newsweek magazine without the slightest shred of proof, and which led to rioting in the Muslim world which killed over a dozen persons, and which put the lives of "infidels" everywhere at risk, the media are clearly less concerned with getting their facts straight than with slanting the story to their own liking, and to the liking of their Arab Muslim terrorist petrodollar paymasters, into whose hands is now concentrated the majority ownership of the world's news wire services, including the Associated Press (the AP, a.k.a. the "Arab Press"), Reuters and UPI.

Nor have we been given clearly to understand the sheer savagery of the attacks. We have not been informed, for example, that French police and firefighters came under gunfire while attempting to extinguish the blazes set by the Muslim criminals. Nor have we been told that the rioters concentrated their attention on "soft" targets - targets which had very little security because the Westerners who built and maintained them could not conceive of anyone wishing to attack them.

One such soft target was a hospital, obviously staffed and occupied twenty-four hours a day, which was hit by firebombs. The bombs bounced off the walls of the building instead of going through the windows, as they were intended to do, but the intent of the perpetrators was clear, to burn down the wards of helpless, bedridden patients, many ofwhom were likely themselves Muslims, enjoying the free medical care of French socialism.

In addition, dozens of French nurseries and foundling (abandoned baby) hospitals were set ablaze, in some cases by burning cars rammed into the buildings. These attacks, too, were characteristic of Muslim cruelty and barbarity.

As the history of the last thirteen hundred years has demonstrated, and as the "sacred" writings of the Muslims themselves attest, the "faithful" man, the Muslim, never troubles his head about the age and sex of his victims. Indeed, the weaker and "softer" his targets, the better they are to his cowardly liking, in part because their deaths and injury are more likely to instill terror in the hearts of the "infidels."

Most importantly, the media has lied outright in denying that the riots were non-white Muslim attacks on white French Christians. While there may have been a few white French "wiggers" among the miscreants - renegades who hate their own country as much as Eminem hates his - the vast majority were indeed of Islamic and Third World extraction, even though the neighborhoods in which the disturbances took place were as much as 50% white French Christian.

In the furtherance of its "big lie," the media has been careful to gloss over the numerous attacks on churches and synagogues which prove conclusively that despite what we have been told, the riots were indeed Muslim in character, not some eruption of social discontent by the "new miserables" of France. Over and over again, by choosing targets that were not only "soft" but religious - and by using as their pretext the "desecration" by French police of a mosque, into which some tear gas may have been thrown - the rioters proved their burning desire to expunge every vestige of Christianity, Judaism and every other non-Muslim religion, from every land foolish enough to welcome demon-possessed Islamic vipers into its bosom.
