"WAR" IS COMING TO THIS WORLD

Preparing for War

June 30, 2008 | From theTrumpet.com

Those who fail to face the truth and prepare accordingly will learn by the sledgehammer of events!

As the Nazi storm brewed in 1936, only one man was forecasting where it was headed. On reading one of Winston Churchill’s speeches, Sir Clive Morrison-Bell wrote to him: “It is quite one of your best I think. You are so right about not being mealy-mouthed just now; the tone everywhere is far too apologetic, and you seem to be almost the only person who ever speaks out” (Martin Gilbert, The Prophet of Truth; emphasis mine throughout).

Isn’t the tone in Britain and America apologetic and “mealy-mouthed” today? Who is there that speaks out with a strong voice in foreign policy?

Churchill wrote on April 9, 1936 (ibid.):

It seems a mad business to confront these dictators without weapons or military force, and at the same time to try to tame and cow the spirit of our people with peace films, anti-recruiting propaganda and resistance to defense measures. Unless the free and law-respecting nations are prepared to organize, arm and combine, they are going to be smashed up. This is going to happen quite soon. But I believe we still have a year to combine and marshal superior forces in defense of the League and its Covenant.

The leaders and people had become their own worst enemy!

On April 13, 1936, he wrote his wife: “We are really in great danger” (ibid.).

Does it make sense to think we can confront dictators without weapons, or, if we have weapons, without the will to use them?

As the danger grew worse, the British Parliament showed more peace films and kept resisting a strong defense! And if it hadn’t been for Churchill, they would have been “smashed up.”

The British leaders lacked the will to even prepare for war. They certainly lacked the will to lead in such dangerous times. Weak men will never face the brutal facts until it’s too late.

A few more people were beginning to see that Churchill was right. Gilbert wrote:

Three months later, at an Independent Labor Party summer school, Eleanor Rathbone declared: “I have described Winston Churchill as a new recruit to pro-League forces. Watch that man carefully. You may feel distrustful. So did I. I’m not certain yet. But I ask you to dispel prejudice and consider facts. Churchill for three years has pointed out extensive German rearmaments. Later facts have justified his estimates.”

Those people who listened closely to Churchill’s message and watched the terrifying events unfold knew he was right about Germany.

Surprise Attack?

Churchill saw that his nation was not mentally and physically prepared for war. He gave this warning in 1936: “Europe is approaching a climax. I believe that that climax will be reached in the lifetime of the present Parliament.”

Gilbert wrote,

At the end of his speech Churchill called for a Ministry of Supply, or a Ministry of Munitions, to provide the necessary armaments in good time. As he told the House of Commons: “Surely the question whether we should be working under peace conditions depends upon whether working under those conditions will give us the necessary deliveries of our munitions—upon whether the gun plants and the shell plants and, above all, the airplane factories, can fulfill the need in time. If they can do so, then peace conditions are no doubt very convenient; but if not, then we must substitute other conditions—not necessarily war conditions, but conditions which would impinge upon the ordinary daily life and business life of this country. There are many conditions apart from war conditions—preparatory conditions, precautionary conditions, emergency conditions—and these must be established in this country if progress is to be made, and if Parliament and the nation are not to find themselves deluded in the future by mere paper programs and promises which in the result will be found to be utterly unfulfilled.

What a deep lesson in this statement! If only we would so examine every phase of our individual lives and the life of our nation today, we would not be easily deluded. You can tell so much about people by how easily they are deceived. Deceit is our main enemy. The whole world is deceived about true leadership and God (Revelation 12:9). But who really believes that today?

America and Britain are deeply deceived about leadership today. And we are facing a greater crisis now than World War ii! The very same nation—Germany—is going to trigger that crisis—just as it did in World Wars i and ii! (you can learn about this prophecy by reading Germany and the Holy Roman Empire).

War is ready to explode in Europe and the Middle East. The global economy is on the verge of collapse!

The time for polite words is past. It is time for the blunt truth.

Churchill said, “Something quite extraordinary is afoot. All the signals are set for danger. The red lights flash through the gloom. Let peaceful folk beware. It is a time to pay attention and to be well prepared” (ibid.). And so it is today. The danger signals and the red lights are flashing. But people are prone to ignore their watchmen until it is too late.

Churchill was accused of having a “strong anti-German obsession.” Sometimes we are so accused. But some of our own members are German. We believe in facing the truth. Those who fail to do so are going to learn by the sledgehammer of events!

Churchill continued: “What woke them up was a series of horrible shocks, and intelligence from every quarter streaming in. … If I read the future aright, Hitler’s government will confront Europe with a series of outrageous events and ever-growing military might. It is events which will show our dangers, though for some the lesson will come too late” (ibid.).

He read the future beautifully. But most people still didn’t listen to his words and awaken until it was almost too late!

Prime Minister Baldwin publicly accused Churchill of a serious lack of judgment. But events eventually revealed who had good judgment.

Ezekiel is an end-time prophetic book. God prophesied that He would send a watchman (Ezekiel 33:6-7). That is the good news. But there is also some very bad news. “And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them” (verse 33). The people don’t recognize the watchman until it is too late physically. They ignore his words until they are in the midst of a nuclear disaster.

Churchill once said, “There is a purpose being worked out here below.” He sensed that God was working out His plan. And so He is.

But there is no Winston Churchill to lead us to safety this time. God is not going to save us again unless we repent (verse 11).

We can’t hide and escape from the series of shocking events that are about to bombard America and Britain!

“Churchill was one of the speakers at a Ralegh Club dinner, telling the assembled students and dons: ‘When I came to Oxford to make a speech, five years ago, I said you must re-arm. I was laughed at. I said we must make ourselves safe in our island home, and then laughter arose. I hope you have learned wisdom now’” (ibid.).

Did Oxford learn a lasting lesson from Winston Churchill? No! Has higher education today learned from Churchill’s World War ii experience? Mostly they scorn his political views today. Would they listen to a Churchill today? The answer is no! They would treat him just as they did in World War ii—only worse! If he were alive he would have some strong views on what is happening today in Germany, and other monstrous problems facing the world.

Some people also laugh at our warning today. But God prophesies that the laughter is about to be totally silenced!

Only fools laugh at God’s warning message! Gilbert continued in his book:

Also on June 12, Ralph Wigram sent Churchill copies of three further Foreign Office dispatches dealing with different aspects of Nazism. “Will you kindly destroy them when you have read them,” he added. “I have marked the important passages.” Six days later the Duchess of Atholl sent Churchill the transcript of a speech Hitler had made to the League of German Maidens. One paragraph, she pointed out, had been deleted in the broadcast version. In it Hitler had said that if war came, “I should fall upon my enemy suddenly, like lightning striking out of the night.”

These words had a great impact on Churchill’s mind. He also remembered Germany’s history in warfare. Gilbert continued:

Churchill … was convinced about the possibilities of surprise in the German organizational framework. Commenting on the 1,200 machines and 1,114 pilots for whom the Air Staff had located no specific squadron and only non-first-line duties, he wrote, “This would be amply sufficient to duplicate every one of the 88 squadrons now believed to have been identified. When we remember the fondness evinced by Germany in history for this particular form of surprise, and note the large number of machines and pilots which seem to have vanished into thin air and the hundred-odd aerodromes which have been constructed, this possibility cannot be excluded.”

He understood Germanys history of surprise attacks! The Air Staff fully agreed with him. Germany had been fond of such attacks. And this is the method of warfare it followed throughout World War ii! This happened repeatedly to Hitler’s enemy nations and even those who thought they were his friends! Daniel 8:23-25 state that deceit and surprise attacks by Germany will be even worse in World War iii! History keeps repeating itself.

Still, the British government rejected what “might come as a great shock to the country and result in an upheaval of industry.” They refused to do what the crisis demanded! Time was running out.

A Thankless Service

“At any rate my conscience is clear,” Churchill said.

I have done my best during the last three years and more to give timely warning of what was happening abroad, and of the dangerous plight into which we were being led or lulled. It has not been a pleasant task. It has certainly been a very thankless task. It has brought me into conflict with many former friends and colleagues. I have been mocked and censured as a scare-monger and even as a warmonger, by those whose complacency and inertia have brought us all nearer to war and war nearer to us all.

But I have the comfort of knowing that I have spoken the truth and done my duty, and as long as I have your unflinching support I am content with that. Indeed I am more proud of the long series of speeches which I have made on defense and foreign policy in the last four years than of anything I have ever been able to do in all my 40 years of public life. …

Through our own folly and refusal to face realities and deal with evil tendencies while they were yet controllable, we have allowed brutal and intolerant forces to gain almost unchallenged supremacy in Europe and have placed ourselves in a position of weakness and peril, the like of which our history does not record for 2½ centuries. …

We are going away on our holidays. Jaded ministers, anxious but impotent members of Parliament, a public whose opinion is more bewildered and more expressionless than anything I can recall in my life—all will seek the illusion of rest and peace.

Many authorities agree that the Western world probably would not have survived without the warning and leadership of Winston Churchill. It is hard to imagine a greater service than that. Yet he was castigated even by many of his friends and party members as a scare-monger and warmonger. A thankless service indeed.

Yet I perceive that Churchill’s warning is being pushed aside more and more by some journalists and scholars today. It is to their shame and our terrifying danger that they do so.

We must work hard to avoid making this same mistake. Instead of pushing aside reality we must accept it, and prepare accordingly. This is why the Trumpet exists: We not only strive to explain the dark realities of the present, but we explain the thrilling realities of the future, and what you can do to see them come to fruition in your life. OUR NIGHTMARE CONTINUES

Contaminated Kuwait sand lands in Idaho

Governor claims radioactivity of shipment at par with background levels in ambient Idaho

By The Idaho Observer

Nearly 80 rail cars containing 6,700 tons of contaminated sand from Gulf War I are being shipped by American Ecology Corp. to its hazardous waste disposal site near Grandview, 70 miles southeast of Boise. The sand arrived by ship at Longbeach, Washington on May 12.

The sand was from Camp Doha in Kuwait. Responding to a series of questions posed by The Idaho Observer, Idaho Governor Butch Otter stated, "…it appears that the material in question is well within the contaminant limitations of the U.S. (sic) Ecology permit."

According to Major Doug Rokke (ret.), "Camp Doha blew up during summer and we had conventional munitions, DU, chemicals, biological weapons, tanks, artillery, fuel, all stored in preparation for gulf war II. A fire started and it all blew up leaving a real toxic mess. We [his team] wrote the clean up plan during winter 1992-1993 as no bid contract for Halliburton. We figure that with all of the medical problems the Kuwaiti government told DOD to finally get it out of Kuwait."

The IO asked the governor’s office who collected the sand, who removed it from the site in Kuwait, who loaded it onto the ship, who inspected and sealed the load, who off broke the seal, inspected the contents and authorized the shipment to be loaded onto rail cars, who inspected the rail cars and who is assuming responsibility for the entire operation?

The governor’s office failed to answer those questions but assured The IO that the shipment of sand was transported from Kuwait in special containers that were "…sealed with customs procedures."

The comment is not very reassuring since Customs observes different procedures depending on the type of cargo and the shipper. Since American Ecology was working under contract with the U.S. Army, Customs would not observe the same procedures with the U.S. Army sand from Kuwait as it does a shipment of coffee from Columbia.

The main point of the letter was to assure us that we can trust the government. "…let me assure you that the best science and most assiduous regulation is being used in safeguarding Idaho citizens from this and all other hazardous materials," Governor Otter said.

Considering this was an international shipment, it would have been brokered through the U.S. State Department and Idaho would have "volunteered" to receive the shipment via the U.S. Army and its contractor American Ecology.

Governor Otter claims that, "Dose rate measurements were taken on the surface of the container. Those measurements were between 12 and 14 microrem per hour (uRem/hr). Background from naturally-occurring sources in Idaho is 10 to 15 uRem/hr."

If the radiation levels from the sand were not greater than background levels in Idaho, which are probably less than anywhere in the Gulf at this time, then there would be no reason to ship the sand out of Kuwait. If Major Rokke is right, then the sand is contaminated with toxic levels of other substances such as chemical weapons (biologicals generally do not have much of a shelf life once released).

Governor Otter made reference only to levels of radiation.

The Otter administration, without consent of the people of Idaho, is going ahead with plans to expand uranium mining operations in Idaho and is courting a French company that wants to process raw uranium into plutonium at plants to be built in Idaho.

The point of the previous paragraph is to illustrate that Otter’s Idaho is not really concerned about people and the environment; saying so just sounds good in a letter.

Supreme Court says Americans have right to guns

By MARK SHERMAN, Associated Press Writer 4 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting, the justices' first major pronouncement on gun rights in U.S. history.

The court's 5-4 ruling struck down the District of Columbia's 32-year-old ban on handguns as incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment. The decision went further than even the Bush administration wanted, but probably leaves most firearms laws intact.

The court had not conclusively interpreted the Second Amendment since its ratification in 1791. The amendment reads: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Kadima to replace PM Ehud Olmert before Sept. 25, saves government

June 25, 2008, 5:34 PM (GMT+02:00)

Ehud Olmert to be eased out by his party by Sept. 25

Ehud Olmert to be eased out by his party by Sept. 25

The deal with a Sept. 25 deadline for a Kadima primary effectively forestalled the Likud-led opposition Knesset dissolution vote Wednesday, June 25 and its support by Labor members, which would have brought the government down, DEBKAfile’s political sources report.

The two ruling parties, Kadima and Labor, reached an eleventh hour agreement before dawn, June 25. It was signed by foreign affairs committee chairman Tzahi Hanegbi and Labor secretary Eitan Kabel. Ehud Olmert's Kadima faction undertook to convene next Monday to finalize a date for the primary to take place before September 25.

The two party leaders agreed to delay a general election until spring 2009 without setting a date. This will give Kadima’s candidate for prime minister six months’ grace in office.

The Kadima-Labor deal paved the way for a merger in time for them to run for election as a single, unified bloc.

The Labor leader, defense minister Ehud Barak, snatched victory from almost certain downfall for refusing to quit the Olmert government in the face of popular and party demands – first after the 2006 Lebanon War debacle, latterly over the cash envelopes scandal.

He has in fact pulled off a bloodless coup d’etat against the prime minister and maneuvered himself into front position should Labor and Kadima forge a union. Another survivor is the prime minister’s own Kadima party which would have gone under if Likud had forced the Knesset into dissolution Wednesday.

The leading Kadima prime ministerial candidates, both of whom are bound to retain Barak as defense minister, are foreign minister Tzipi Livni and transport minister Shaul Mofaz.

The prime movers behind this rescue operation were Kadima’s Tzahi Hanegbi and Labor’s Shalom Simhon, both seasoned political manipulators.

The two big losers are the prime minister - his own party has shown him the door - and his rival, opposition Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu, former and would-be prime minister. Likud MK Silvan Shalom’s initiative to overthrow Israel’s most unpopular government ever by means of a motion to dissolve the Knesset and force a general election was neatly outmaneuvered.

Likud too faces serious rethinking about the quality of its leadership. Shalom operated in the vacuum generated by Netanyahu’s failure to lead Likud in a fighting campaign against the government.

"WAR" OVER SCRIPTURES

Dobson accuses Obama of 'distorting' Bible

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — As Barack Obama broadens his outreach to evangelical voters, one of the movement's biggest names, James Dobson, accuses the likely Democratic presidential nominee of distorting the Bible and pushing a "fruitcake interpretation" of the Constitution.

The criticism, to be aired Tuesday on Dobson's Focus on the Family radio program, comes shortly after an Obama aide suggested a meeting at the organization's headquarters here, said Tom Minnery, senior vice president for government and public policy at Focus on the Family.

The conservative Christian group provided The Associated Press with an advance copy of the pre-taped radio segment, which runs 18 minutes and highlights excerpts of a speech Obama gave in June 2006 to the liberal Christian group Call to Renewal. Obama mentions Dobson in the speech.

"Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools?" Obama said. "Would we go with James Dobson's or Al Sharpton's?" referring to the civil rights leader.

Dobson took aim at examples Obama cited in asking which Biblical passages should guide public policy — chapters like Leviticus, which Obama said suggests slavery is OK and eating shellfish is an abomination, or Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, "a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application."

"Folks haven't been reading their Bibles," Obama said.

Dobson and Minnery accused Obama of wrongly equating Old Testament texts and dietary codes that no longer apply to Jesus' teachings in the New Testament.

"I think he's deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology," Dobson said.

"... He is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter."

Joshua DuBois, director of religious affairs for Obama's campaign, said in a statement that a full reading of Obama's speech shows he is committed to reaching out to people of faith and standing up for families. "Obama is proud to have the support of millions of Americans of faith and looks forward to working across religious lines to bring our country together," DuBois said.

Dobson reserved some of his harshest criticism for Obama's argument that the religiously motivated must frame debates over issues like abortion not just in their own religion's terms but in arguments accessible to all people.

He said Obama, who supports abortion rights, is trying to govern by the "lowest common denominator of morality," labeling it "a fruitcake interpretation of the Constitution."

"Am I required in a democracy to conform my efforts in the political arena to his bloody notion of what is right with regard to the lives of tiny babies?" Dobson said. "What he's trying to say here is unless everybody agrees, we have no right to fight for what we believe."

The program was paid for by a Focus on the Family affiliate whose donations are taxed, Dobson said, so it's legal for that group to get more involved in politics.

Last week, DuBois, a former Assemblies of God associate minister, called Minnery for what Minnery described as a cordial discussion. He would not go into detail, but said Dubois offered to visit the ministry in August when the Democratic National Convention is in Denver.

A possible Obama visit was not discussed, but Focus is open to one, Minnery said.

McCain also has not met with Dobson. A McCain campaign staffer offered Dobson a meeting with McCain recently in Denver, Minnery said. Dobson declined because he prefers that candidates visit the Focus on the Family campus to learn more about the organization, Minnery said.

Dobson has not backed off his statement that he could not in good conscience vote for McCain because of concerns over the Arizona senator's conservative credentials. Dobson has said he will vote in November but has suggested he might not vote for president.

Obama recently met in Chicago with religious leaders, including conservative evangelicals. His campaign also plans thousands of "American Values House Parties," where participants discuss Obama and religion, as well as a presence on Christian radio and blogs.

Lou Dobbs: Bush Should Be Impeached for Salmonella Outbreak
CNN host says leadership in 'sorry condition' and inability to 'protect the American consumer' is 'sufficient reason to impeach a president.'

CNN’s Lou Dobbs has been on a tear about the recent tainted-tomato salmonella outbreak, but this time he’s taken it a step further and is calling for the ultimate political punishment.

The “Lou Dobbs Tonight” host placed the blame for the recent salmonella outbreak squarely on President George W. Bush, calling for his impeachment on the June 19 broadcast. Contaminated tomatoes from an unknown source or sources have sickened 383 people since April, according to the Associated Press.

“You know, I have heard a lot of reasons over the years as to why George W. Bush should be impeached,” Dobbs said. “For them to leave the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in this state, its leadership in this sorry condition and to have no capacity apparently or will to protect the American consumer – that is alone to me sufficient reason to impeach a president who has made this agency possible and has ripped its guts out in its ability to protect the American consumer.”

“It’s insane what’s going on here,” said a visibly angry Dobbs. “Is there any sense of embarrassment on the part of the leadership of that agency?”

On June 18, Dobbs called the FDA “excessively intellectually challenged.” The night before he called the FDA “moronic.”

“The FDA, led by complete moronic, unengaged incompetents,” Dobbs said on his June 17 broadcast. “The idea that they would sit there and say that they’re not going to reveal where a cluster of this outbreak occurred, this is arrogant beyond belief. Who in the world do these idiots think they are? Who do they think they’re working for?”

He also implicated Bush in that tirade: “As for this administration, were a responsible president at the helm of this country, I would wonder why he is not taking action, but then again, this is of course his FDA and his legacy.”

Call Conference to plan War Crimes Trial of Bush and Higher Ups

Global Research, June 15, 2008

A conference to plan the prosecution of President Bush and other high administration officials for war crimes will be held September 13-14 at the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover .

"This is not intended to be a mere discussion of violations of law that have occurred," said convener Lawrence Velvel, dean and cofounder of the school. "It is, rather, intended to be a planning conference at which plans will be laid and necessary organizational structures set up, to pursue the guilty as long as necessary and, if need be, to the ends of the Earth."

"We must try to hold Bush administration leaders accountable in courts of justice," Velvel said. "And we must insist on appropriate punishments, including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war-criminals in the 1940s."

Velvel said past practice has been to allow U.S. officials responsible for war crimes in Viet Nam and elsewhere to enjoy immunity from prosecution upon leaving office. "President Johnson retired to his Texas ranch and his Defense Secretary Robert McNamara was named to head the World Bank; Richard Nixon retired to San Clemente and his Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was allowed to grow richer and richer," Velvel said.

He noted in the years since the prosecution and punishment of German and Japanese leaders after World War Two those nation's leaders changed their countries' aggressor cultures. One cannot discount contributory cause and effect here, he said.

"For Bush, Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and John Yoo to spend years in jail or go to the gallows for their crimes would be a powerful lesson to future American leaders," Velvel said.

The conference will take up such issues as the nature of domestic and international crimes committed; which high-level Bush officials, including Federal judges and Members of Congress, are chargeable with war crimes; which foreign and domestic tribunals can be used to prosecute them; and the setting up of an umbrella coordinating committee with representatives of legal groups concerned about the war crimes such as the Center for Constitutional Rights, ACLU, National Lawyers Guild, among others.

The Massachusetts School of Law at Andover was established in 1988 to provide an affordable, quality legal education to minorities, immigrants and students from low-income households that might otherwise be denied the opportunity to obtain a legal education and practice law. Its founder, Dean Velvel, has been honored by the National Law Journal and cited in various publications for his contributions to the reform of legal education.

REV. AL SOAKS UP BOYCOTT BUCKS

BIZ GIANTS PAY OR FACE RACE RALLIES

By ISABEL VINCENT and SUSAN EDELMAN

June 15, 2008 -- Anheuser-Busch gave him six figures, Colgate-Palmolive shelled out $50,000 and Macy's and Pfizer have contributed thousands to the Rev. Al Sharpton's charity.

Almost 50 companies - including PepsiCo, General Motors, Wal-Mart, FedEx, Continental Airlines, Johnson & Johnson and Chase - and some labor unions sponsored Sharpton's National Action Network annual conference in April.

Terrified of negative publicity, fearful of a consumer boycott or eager to make nice with the civil-rights activist, CEOs write checks, critics say, to NAN and Sharpton - who brandishes the buying power of African-American consumers. In some cases, they hire him as a consultant.

The cash flows even as the US Attorney's Office in Brooklyn has been conducting a grand-jury investigation of NAN's finances.

A General Motors spokesman told The Post that NAN had repeatedly - and unsuccessfully - asked for contributions for six years, beginning in August 2000.

Then, in December 2006, Sharpton threatened to call a boycott of the carmaker over the closing of an African-American-owned GM dealership in The Bronx, and he picketed outside GM headquarters on Fifth Avenue.

Last year, General Motors gave NAN a $5,000 donation. It gave $5,000 more this year, a spokesman said, calling NAN a "worthy" organization.

In November 2003, Sharpton picketed DaimlerChrysler's Chicago car show and threatened a boycott over alleged racial bias in car loans.

"This is institutional racism," he bellowed.

In May 2004, Chrysler began supporting NAN's conferences, which include panels on corporate responsibility and civil rights and a black-tie awards dinner to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Last year, Sharpton gave Chrysler an award for corporate excellence.

In 2003, Sharpton targeted American Honda for not hiring enough African-Americans in management.

"We support those that support us," wrote Sharpton and the Rev. Horace Sheffield III, president of NAN's Michigan chapter, in a letter to American Honda. "We cannot be silent while African-Americans spend hard-earned dollars with a company that does not hire, promote or do business with us in a statistically significant manner."

Two months after American Honda execs met with Sharpton, the carmaker began to sponsor NAN's events - and continues to pay "a modest amount" each year, a spokesman said.

NEW "POLICE" WEAPONS FOR "DENVER"

This was just too good to pass up. A word of caution, the following might make those with weak stomachs and those who are easily offended uncomfortable. It doesn’t contain any profanity or obscenity but may put images in your head that you would rather not be there. You have been warned.

The group Re-create 68, protesters who plan to disrupt the Democratic Convention, are fearful of a new crowd control weapon that they have heard the Denver Police are planning to use on them in August. I will try to be delicate here. The device is called "Brown Note." It is an infrasound frequency that causes people to, shall we say, lose control of their bodily functions. Put that together with the name Brown Note and I think you get my drift. There is a more explicit name here.

From that same article:

"Mark Cohen, co-founder of Re-create 68, an alliance of local activists working for the protection of first amendment rights, said he believes this could be deployed at the convention in August to subdue crowds.

We know this weapon and weapons like it have been used at other large protests before.

I think these weapons were mostly intended for military use and so their use for dealing with innocent protesters seems highly inappropriate," he said. "The idea that they might be field testing them on people who are doing nothing more than exercising their first amendment rights is disturbing."

But there’s another weapon the protesters fear more than Brown Note, if you can believe that. This from Glenn Spagnuolo, also with Re-create 68:

"More troubling to Spagnuolo is the "Active Denial System" or "ADS," a ray gun used to send high levels of microwave frequencies that cause a burning sensation the skin."

Yes, infrasound frequency and ray guns. If I were a store owner in Denver, I would stock up on 2 items, Depends and tin foil.

ARE FOOD RIOTS NEXT ??

Heavy Rains Drowning U.S. Crop Production Hopes

June 11, 2008 | From theTrumpet.com

Whether from drought or rain, American crops are being destroyed as the global food crisis escalates.

When the full scope of the developing global food crisis first became evident last winter, grumbling broke out in America and riots broke out in two dozen other countries. Now, at a time when the world vitally needs bumper crops to ease the threat of pervasive food shortages, America’s breadbasket has been hit with torrential flooding.

Many farms in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Nebraska have received as much as 12 inches of rain this month so far, according to the National Weather Service. That is over four times the normal amount. Bridges have been wiped out by swollen rivers, homes have been evacuated due to rising water levels, and fields have been inundated. This could be the worst flooding the Midwest has experienced in 15 years.

Areas of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Missouri also experienced flooding last week.

Due to this flooding, at a time of year when the country’s corn crop should be flourishing one plant in ten has not even emerged from the ground, the Agriculture Department said on Monday.

The crop damage caused by this flooding has caused the Agriculture Department to slash its estimate of this year’s corn crop. As a result, U.S. corn prices have surged to record highs on Chicago future exchanges. Contracts for corn deliveries after July have already hit levels soaring above $7.25 a bushel—over double 2006 levels. Many fear the next problem for corn crops will be yield losses caused by weeds and crop diseases that thrive in over-saturated soils.

Increasing grain prices mean increasing livestock feed prices, which means that consumers may also soon face even higher prices for animal-based food products such as meat, eggs and dairy products.

American farmers produce 60 percent of the world’s corn, a third of the world’s soybeans, a quarter of the world’s wheat and a tenth of the world’s rice. Bad weather in the Midwest is greatly reducing America’s capacity to meet even normal levels of production, much less make up food shortages in the rest of the world. Drought in California and Australia are only serving to make the crisis even worse.

When Third World nations do not have food to export and First World nations are having their crops destroyed by inclement weather, where does the food come from? If current trends intensify, the food riots that two dozen countries have already experienced will move to America.

President Bush regrets his legacy as man who wanted war

President Bush has admitted to The Times that his gun-slinging rhetoric made the world believe that he was a “guy really anxious for war” in Iraq. He said that his aim now was to leave his successor a legacy of international diplomacy for tackling Iran.

In an exclusive interview, he expressed regret at the bitter divisions over the war and said that he was troubled about how his country had been misunderstood. “I think that in retrospect I could have used a different tone, a different rhetoric.”

Phrases such as “bring them on” or “dead or alive”, he said, “indicated to people that I was, you know, not a man of peace”. He said that he found it very painful “to put youngsters in harm’s way”. He added: “I try to meet with as many of the families as I can. And I have an obligation to comfort and console as best as I possibly can. I also have an obligation to make sure that those lives were not lost in vain.”

The unilateralism that marked his first White House term has been replaced by an enthusiasm for tough multilateralism. He said that his focus for his final six months in office was to secure agreement on issues such as establishing a Palestinian state and to “leave behind a series of structures that makes it easier for the next president”.

Mr Bush is concerned that the Democratic nominee Barack Obama might open cracks in the West’s united front towards Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. At the EU-US summit in Slovenia, he pressed for tougher sanctions against Iran unless it agreed to suspend its uranium enrichment programme verifiably: “They can either face isolation, or they can have better relations with all of us.”

Mr Bush told The Times that when his successor arrived and assessed “what will work or what won’t work in dealing with Iran”, he would stick with the current policy.

Shaul Mofaz, a hardline Israeli minister, has suggested that a military strike on Iran is “unavoidable”. But Mr Bush said: “We ought to work together, keep focused. His comments really should be viewed as the need to continue to keep pressuring Iran.”

The President was keen to bind his successor into a continued military presence in Afghanistan and Iraq, but offered only cautious optimism about a recent decline in violence. Asked about corruption allegations dogging Hamid Karzai, the Afghan President, Mr Bush insisted: “I have found him to be an honest man.”

He also offered words of encouragement for another ally, Gordon Brown, whom he will meet on Sunday. He said that he needed no advice on coping with political adversity. He is “plenty confident and plenty smart, plenty capable — he can sort it out”.

But he delivered a thinly veiled warning to Mr Obama that his promises to renegotiate or block international trade deals were already causing alarm in Europe and beyond.

“There is concern about protectionism and economic nationalism,” he said. “Leaders recognise now is the time to get ahead of this issue before it becomes engrained in the political systems of our respective countries.”

Acknowledging that his refusal to ratify the Kyoto Protocol once created consternation in Europe, he said that there was now a recognition that that richer countries needed to “transfer out of the hydrocarbon economy”. He insisted, however, that any binding emission targets would have to include China and India to be workable.

The President knows that Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain will have to distance himself from the current Administration. "He's an independent person who will make his decisions on what he thinks is best."

Asked if the US is ready for a black president, Mr Bush says: "I think the fact that the Democratic Party nominated Barack Obama is a statement about how far America has come.

"Having that all that, it's going to be important for the American people to figure out who can handle the task of the 21st Century. It's a challenging job."

"SUICIDE BOMBERS"

Can Suicide Bombers Be Stopped?

June 9, 2008 | From theTrumpet.com

Western leaders make nuclear war inevitable when they underestimate Iran’s apocalyptic aspirations.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that suicide bombers are “not deterrable” and are on the verge of getting nuclear weapons! He made that statement on Headline News Nov. 17, 2006, during an interview with Glen Beck.

Mr. Netanyahu is right, humanly speaking, when he says they cannot be deterred.

So what happens when suicidal terrorists get nuclear devices or atomic bombs? (And they will get them.) If they cannot be deterred, then our cities are going to be destroyed.

Mr. Netanyahu said, “Iran is [Nazi] Germany, and this is 1938″—which was one year before World War ii. He is saying we are dangerously close to World War iii! Only a few years or even months away.

Iran is the king of Middle East terrorists. The dangerous Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, will provide terrorists with nuclear weapons unless he is stopped—it’s only a matter of when. Many people have compared him to Adolf Hitler, who led Germany into World War ii, when more than 60 million people were killed. That is a pittance compared to how many would be killed in a nuclear World War iii!

Here is what Mr. Netanyahu said of President Ahmadinejad’s religious beliefs (emphasis mine throughout):

[Israel is] just the first way station en route to you [America]. So there is this fundamental fanaticism that is there. It’s a messianic cult. It’s a religious messianic cult that believes in the Apocalypse, and they believe they have to expedite the Apocalypse to bring the collapse of the West. … If the lunatics escape from the asylum, that’s one thing. But if they can get their hands on a nuclear weapon, that’s another. And this is that kind of cult. It’s the cult of the Mahdi, a holy man that disappeared a thousand years ago. And the president of Iran believes that he was put here on Earth to bring this holy man back in a great religious war between the true Muslim believers and the infidels. He thinks millions will die in this Apocalypse, and the Muslim believers will go to heaven. That’s dangerous, if they have nuclear weapons to realize this fantasy. And that is where the world is headed!

Now, people said that of Hitler in the 1930s. They said this man has a mad ideology, very fanatic, very dangerous, and if he gets his hands on a military power, he would use it. Hitler did use it; but Hitler … tried to develop [atomic weapons] only after embarking on the world conflict.

Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, is first trying to develop nuclear weapons and then going about his mad fantasy of global conflict. So he has to be stopped. I think when you have something as fanatic and as dangerous as this, the question now is not whether he should be stopped, but hows he going to be stopped?

There was a fundamentally dangerous change in this world with the creation of nuclear weapons. But that pathology was multiplied 10,000 times over when many people could access nuclear technology. It became still more dangerous when Iran introduced the world to organized, suicidal, state-sponsored terrorism. The problem will multiply in danger yet again when Iran gets the nuclear bomb—a scenario that could happen at almost any time.

So somebody must stop Iran, or this number-one sponsor of terrorism is going to put nuclear weapons into the hands of terrorists. And America is their primary target.

Imagine Ahmadinejad with nuclear weapons! Imagine the unparalleled, mind-staggering danger hanging over this world like a pall of black doom!

President Bush was humiliated in America’s last presidential elections because of the Iraq war. So you will probably not see the United States ever launch another preemptive war—like the one needed to take out Iran’s nuclear weapons program. We lack the will to do so.

Will the nation called Israel today take out Iran’s nuclear capability? It lost a war with the tiny Hezbollah arm of the Iranian army. So the Jewish nation also lacks the will to deal with Iran and its hordes of terrorists.

No current nuclear power in the world is suicidal, but the Iranian leaders are. That is why you can’t stop their terrorism unless you stop their “messianic cult of death”—which would probably mean destroying Iran.

Benjamin Netanyahu said this in his conclusion on cnn:

I think the most important thing to understand is that, you know the best sign of how dangerous things are? That the president of Iran is not even trying to fake it. You know, normally, if he wasn’t as fanatic as he is, he’d say, “Well, you know, yes, I think we could recognize Israel if it made the right concessions to the Palestinians.” He’d play along; he’d play the game. He’d say, “We’re not really developing nuclear weapons. We just want nuclear energy for peace.” You know, he’d say all that.

But that’s not what he’s saying. He’s saying—and listen to him carefully. He’s saying, “We’re going to wipe Israel off the map. The Holocaust didn’t happen. America’s the great Satan. Iran will have the power to reshape history.” Now, a normal person would not say that. An insane person says that. In the 1930s, an insane person wrote in a book called Mein Kampf, “My Struggle,” and that was Adolf Hitler. He said exactly what he would do. He was stark-raving mad, but he communicated. You asked for a sign? That was a sign—300 pages of signs, ok? Ahmadinejad every day is writing a page. He’s saying what he’s going to do. That’s the best sign. That tells you that there’s a fanaticism at work here which is not even calculating. He’s just going to do it. And let’s not enable him to do it. Let’s stop him.

In another interview, Mr. Netanyahu quoted a Holocaust survivor who was asked what lesson she learned from that experience. Her answer was, when a powerful leader says he is going to annihilate you, believe him!

Are we going to believe Ahmadinejad now, before it’s too late?

Extreme Urgency

Most journalists, educators and politicians fail to foresee where world events are leading and to recognize when they are moving extremely fast.

Here is a key reason why: They look at massive social movements and financial events, but rarely look at a strong leader—a man—to measure where the nation is headed!

If he is a religious zealot, you can probably double or quadruple how fast he moves the nation and his negative impact. For example, in a single decade, Hitler took Germany from being an insignificant nation to a power that almost conquered the world!

In a speech to the Reichstag on Jan. 30, 1939, Hitler said,

In the course of my life I have very often been a prophet [a religious zealot] and have usually been ridiculed for it. During the time of my struggle for power it was in the first instance the Jewish race which only received my prophecies with laughter when I said that I would one day take over the leadership of the state and with it that of the whole nation, and that I would then, among many other things, settle the Jewish problem. Their laughter was uproarious, but I think that for some time now they have been laughing on the other side of their face. Today I will once more be a prophet: If the international Jewish financiers in and outside Europe succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, then the result will not be the Bolshevization of the Earth, and thus the victory of the Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe!

Hitler killed 6 million Jews in Europe. He was well on his way to annihilating all the European Jews. He did just what he said he would do, and in an incredibly short time. Hitler shocked the whole world!

President Ahmadinejad is in the process of doing exactly what he says he will do, but few people believe him—perhaps some are even laughing. That laughter will soon be silenced, just as the scoffing at Hitler stopped before and during World War ii.

Winston Churchill was a strong leader who stood up and led the West in conquering Hitler. But the British were almost beaten before they voted Churchill into office. That is because almost all the journalists, educators, politicians and religious leaders rejected Churchill’s warning in the 1930s! They refused to see how the evil and powerful Hitler was accelerating world events!

So beware of believing the so-called experts today.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a strong dictator, much like Hitler. He is moving events along at a dizzying pace in the Middle East. Oil profits have made his country incredibly wealthy. He is going to cause a global crisis in only a few years—perhaps even months.

This one leader has turned the tide in the Middle East and is pushing the whole world toward a nuclear abyss! He has taken over Lebanon as the world does nothing. Iran’s efforts have helped Assad of Syria turn his nation more toward terrorism.

Look how one man—Osama bin Laden—has impacted the whole world. He is a strong leader and a religious madman.

Terrorist movements are causing the world to raise up more dictatorial types. Russia and China have dictators who are helping to speedily move this world toward a nuclear holocaust.

The pope has been alarmed by the rise of radical Islam. He too has become very aggressive on the world scene. Politically, he is an extremely powerful man because he leads 1 billion Catholics.

Now we are awaiting one final dictator who will rise and lead Europe to become the world’s leading superpower—in an extremely short amount of time. This superpower will be confronted and pushed by Iran. The European power will respond violently and destroy radical Islam, according to Bible prophecy. (Request our free booklet Germany and the Holy Roman Empire.)

While all these strong dictators are rising, America, Britain and the Middle East Jews have a broken will. Real leaders—like Winston Churchill—are fading from the scene. That too was prophesied in your Bible.

Before World War ii, Winston Churchill tried to rouse Britain from “its sloth and trance.” But it took what he termed “a series of horrible shocks” to awaken the British people.

Today, America, Britain and the Jewish nation are in a hypnotic trance. It appears that words cannot awaken them from their sleep. They await the most horrendous shocks ever experienced on Earth!

We are facing a nuclear abyss. However, all this bad news is the best sign of the most inspiring future imaginable. Write for our free booklet Isaiah’s End-Time Vision.
